Office of Residence Life: Helping Students Make Otterbein University Their Home

The Office of Residence Life helps students build a college life that brings studying, friendships, and everyday responsibilities together. By supporting the campus housing experience, the office gives students a place to settle in, develop independence, and become active members of the university community.

Housing options reflect different stages of that experience, from shared first-year rooms to apartments and theme houses for returning students. Theme houses invite residents to share an interest with the wider campus, while movie nights, crafts, and midnight pancakes create opportunities to get to know one another. These connections become part of the college years graduates and families look back on with pride.

Office of Residence Life and Scholar Frames: Recognizing the Accomplishment

Through its partnership with Scholar Frames, the Office of Residence Life extends its connection with students to the celebration of their earned degree. The Otterbein University diploma frames collection gives graduates and those celebrating them a way to recognize that achievement through a program connected to their campus community.

For families who remember helping with the first move into a residence hall, graduation offers a moment to appreciate how much has changed. A displayed diploma honors the work completed and the confidence gained along the way. Residence Life’s partnership provides a lasting way to mark that progress, keeping the accomplishment visible as graduates make a home beyond campus.

Helping Otterbein graduates and families honor those years of effort is a shared purpose of Scholar Frames and the Office of Residence Life.
